The disc of the soft-seal butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. Inside the cylindrical passage of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped disc rotates around the axis, with a rotation angle between 0° and 90°. When rotated to 90°, the valve is fully open. Regarding the characteristics of the new high-life stainless steel butterfly valve and the problems existing in the use of butterfly valves, this type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline. According to the connection method, soft-seal butterfly valves can be divided into flange-type soft-seal butterfly valves, wafer-type soft-seal butterfly valves, and welded soft-seal butterfly valves.
